First few days in Melbourne!

First few days in Melbourne is pretty awesome, got baked on the first day and got spaced on the second day. Everything here is pretty decent everyone looks so chilled out and all. College is cool, lecturers are pretty cool as well, classmates are pretty cool either just the typical SAE students that I have expected before I arrived!

City view kicks ass massively and city systems are pretty awesome compared to the one's back home. Back home is just too freekin messy! Buskers in the city are pretty kick ass as well. They have really talented artsy people on the streets drawing on the floor, busking around, and some even preaching the word of the lord. I don't know but this just looks weird doing on the street because I think you should not bring all this religious talks to the streets but some people might be cool about it though.

The beach is pretty awesome as well. At least you get the sun and cold wind instead so it wont be too hot? yeah so it wont be too hot! Love the cold wind so far but I am not sure what is it going to be like during the winter but I guess we'll see eh! Anyways that is it for today. Time to hit the bed and also hope to get my own place to live as fast as possible! Good night peepz!

No questions allowed. I am only here to update his legions of fans that this blog will be somewhat managed by me too. Understand that I really need an excuse to procrastinate on my assignments.

Now for some Julz News (insert background music): His latest gig would be last night at Cloth and Clef with Rashdan Harith (alongside Reza Salleh). From the horse's mouth: they played for a crowd of 10 people. Kuala Lumpur was a ghost town with everyone back to their kampungs for the holidays.

He's also planning on coming back to Tichondrius in a month or two. I'm pestering him to join the Alliance but he's insisting on me joining the Hordes. Ugh.

Jeeez finally I can take a break for awhile frm the kick ass massive working days. Been working on this cartoon called the Mix Master and it has been a crazy week for me. Well last Wednesday Rashdan Harith had a show in Groove Junction and it was pretty awesome playing with the band. Everything went well. Just that a few errors here and there that can be fixed. Thank you to all that have attended the show! Photo's of the show will arrive pretty soon! So stay tuned people! Hehe

Damn it was really an extremely busy day last week. It was like Purplehouz and then 12 Records and then Rashdan Harith and then Jahz Disciples and soon Slunk. I hardly stay at home these days haha. But anyways it's pure fun for me.

Yesterday which is a Friday (21st March) was also an awesome day for me and Rashdan and then whole freekin band. Hehe. We had a performance at Spices of Asia TTDI. Everything went well but the bass amp. It really thought me a lesson. Next time bring my own amps for show. I was using a Kustom 15 Watt Practise Amp. Well does that sound like a joke? haha. Furthermore playing along with drums. Nobody could hear what I was playing. Screwed up!!! But overall it was an awesome show though. Pictures of the show? Well i'll upload soon once I get them. Pauls Place Love n Hate Part 1

On March 14 2008, Jahz Disciples played at Paul's Place with Melodica, Dragon Red, Joanna & Co and 13 Music. It was a great gig although the turn outs were really bad. But can't blame the organizer or the bands though, it was raining heavily that day and furthermore Paul's Place is a venue where not many people will drop by these days. Chilled out till some sort of radio telecommunication wave arrived and blasted my head like a chemical warfare. The side effects? Puzzled after sniffing it but geeez it's another day. Extra puzzled after having a dream that a mime shot me with a rifle during my nap. What a pollution day. Anyways got some studio shots from Rashdan and taken by Afizul. Here it goes...

The Malaysian Indie Music Scene!

Music scene in Malaysia? Well what I think about it is, the music scene in Malaysia needs shit loads of improvements. Yeah we need people to support the local acts. Majority of people listens to a lot of International materials. Buy original cd's, tapes whatever. Most of em are all International stuffs and to make it even more complex, American stuffs! What about the Malaysian stuffs? Do you guys know that we have our own materials as well?

Besides that, the way things are organized in Malaysia is not professional at all, especially things that are done by independent gig organizers. Most of them don't even pay the bands. Well although how bad the band is if you call them up for performance, at least pay them a little to cover their cost. But no. All the profit earn will be taken by the organizers. Hmmmph...that is one of the main reason why bands will not evolve in Malaysia. No money, no improvements.

Well that is what I think about the indie music scene in Malaysia. Thanks for reading anyways.
